Safety of social media accounts has become a top priority in today's tech-savvy generation as hacking business is rapidly growing each passing day. Just a few days after Mahesh Bhatt received death threats, filmmaker Boney Kapoor's Twitter account has been hacked by an hoaxer who is demanding money from industry persons. Those receiving such messages were said that this money was for a show in Lucknow.

A leading daily quoted Boney Kapoor saying as, "I was shocked. My first instinct was to reach out to the most trusted people in my office and ask them to contact the cyber crime cell, I won't let this go easy. Legal action will be taken. Impersonating is a grievous offense and it could happen to anybody. If we don't take action, someone else could be at risk tomorrow."

While Boney Kapoor is currently shooting for his next film, he will lodge a official complaint today. When checked from an caller identification application, the mobile number showed the location of Gujarat with the name of Boney Kapoor.
