Making of the fun banter song 'Yeh Jawaani Teri'

5th May 2017

The funny five chapters released as a promotional campaign by the makers of Ayushmann Khurrana- Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' excited the audience so much that they actually wanted to see more. Then came the music album which again turned out to be a soothing treat to the ears. Now the making videos of the same are doing the rounds of the internet.

There is a song in the film 'Yeh Jawaani Teri' which is neither a love song nor a completely jazzy song, but it is a teasing song where Bindu and Abhimanyu indulge in some Shammi Kapoor style dancing. The song contains a line 'Kalkattewali, Bengali Kawaali' and for that the makers thought of recreating Calcutta in Mumbai. To give it a old school feeling they decided to erect old trams, a tea stall and showcased people playing bowling, but with glass bottles. They even used Bappi Lahiri's image which went very well with the song and the whole theme.

Ayushmann took his dance rehearsals so seriously that he came early and rehearsed before Parineeti but was disappointed when she matched up the steps just by seeing them. Later he shot for the half of the song non-stop and impressed the makers.

The song is sung in the powerful voices of Nakash Aziz and Jonita Gandhi and the lyrics are by Kausar Munir.
