The Kapoor Khandaan welcomed their youngest member in the family as actor Tusshar Kapoor became a single parent of a baby boy through surrogacy. Tusshar adopted the IVF and surrogacy technique and stayed put with all the proceedings of the baby's birth. The baby is named as Laksshya and is in excellent health.
Tusshar is definitely excited with the new arrrival in the family. He said, "I am thrilled to be a father! The paternal instincts in me have been overpowering my heart and mind for some time now. Therefore, I am thrilled beyond words to have Laksshya, now the greatest source of joy in my life. By the greatness of God and the excellent medical team at Jaslok, parenthood is an option for many, who choose to be single parents."
Dr Firuza Parikh, who heads the IVF and Genetics at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre stated, "I am impressed with Tusshar's determination to be a father. He maintained a keen interest in the baby's health at every stage. He will surely be a sensitive and nurturing parent."
Tusshar's parents Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor are very happy with their son's decision. "We could not be more excited to be grandparents to Laksshya, and are completely supportive of Tusshar's decision. This is certainly a tremendous blessing, and an exciting time in our lives. Tusshar is a wonderful son, and he has proven with responsibility, independence, and kindness that he will be a great father to Laksshya." They said.
Tusshar's sister Ekta Kapoor is very happy on the arrival of the baby. She posted a message on her instagram in the cutest way. She posted a sweet message on a teddy bear shaped card, and captioned the picture as, "Ab .....HUM PAANCHπππππ."
