Akshay Kumar fans were a bit upset when many award functions skipped his name from the nominations list. But they were rejoiced with joy when the actor was announced as the Best Actor for his film 'Rustom' by the National Film Awards jury earlier this year. For the felicitation ceremony which took place recently, Akshay was accompanied by his wife Twinkle Khanna and son Aarav. While Akshay mentioned on his social media handle that it is his special day along with his family, his wife Twinkle on the other hand addressed him as her 'official trophy husband.'

Her tweet reads, "So now I can officially refer to him as my trophy husband :) #NationalFilmAwards." Along with Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor also received the National Award for her film 'Neerja' which was highly acclaimed by the masses.
