It has been like a ritual from ages that a women is supposed to change her surname and carry forward her husband's surname after marriage. While some say it is like erasing our own identity, some strongly believe that it means creating our new identity. Akshay Kumar's wife Twinkle Khanna is one such women who broke all the stereotypes. Despite of getting married to Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, she still writes her name as Twinkle Khanna and not Twinkle Kumar.

Recently a twitter user questioned Twinkle about her surname openly on twitter. He tweeted, "Why Twinkle Khanna now u r Kumar got it."

Known for her jocular sense of humour, Mrs.Funnybones gave him an apt reply. She tweeted on her twitter, "A lot of people bring this up,though not as stridently as this gentleman-Khanna it will always be #MarriedNotBranded."
