Salman Khan had been in news for various reasons. The 'rape women' comment made by the actor in public gathered a lot of criticisms. Even his father Salim Khan made a public apology about the comment on behalf of his son. However, Maharashtra State Women's Commission have already issued two summons against Salman for apology, but the actor seems in no mood to reply them.
Now the third and the final summon is issued by the commission to the actor. The actor was asked to be present in their Bandra(E) office in the summon. MSWC chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar on Wednesday said, "It was understandable that the actor should not turn up on the day of the festival. But he can at least send a representative. He must respond to our notice in some way."
Lawyer Abha Singh said, "Salman is taking law in his own hands. He has neither taken formal exemption nor has he undertaken to appear on the next date. In such cases of wilful disobedience of summons, the correct legal course is to issue a bailable warrant first and thereafter a non-bailable warrant. This is necessary as the women's commission has been accorded powers of a civil court to enforce attendance of witnesses."
