A true actor recognised a role with potential and accepted it, only to succeed. Jackie Shroff's role in 'Aaranya Kaandam' which was much appreciated, was first offered to many other actors as per the director Thyagarajan Kumararaja.

The director said, he first offered this role to many other actors but all of them refused or wanted to make some changes in it. When he first spoke about the role to Jackie, he immediately accepted it. Thyagarajan is now happy with his choice and doesn't regret not having made changes to the role, the way other actors wanted.
