South's famous filmmaker Mani Ratnam is back on track and he has taken up his long-pending project in hand.
According to sources, Mani has roped in Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor for his yet to be titled film. The story is based on the India-Pakistan partition and it is said to be a bilingual film.
While Aamir and Kareena have already worked together in '3 Idiots' and 'Talaash', this will be the first time the two will be working with Mani Ratnam.
It is also heard that Rensil D'Silva who wrote the script for Aamir's 'Rang De Basanti' will be working on this project.
Currently, Aamir is busy shooting for 'P.K.' in Rajasthan while Kareena is working on 'Satyagraha'.
