Aamir to play football for daughter Ira

16th July 2014

Bollywood is famous for the friendly and charity matches that are organised often to garner support for some or the other social cause.

More often than not, it is Salman Khan and his close buddies who organise such sports events.

But the latest name to get associated with such an event is none other than the teenaged daughter of perfectionist Aamir Khan

Ira, Aamir's daughter from his first wife Reema, is passionate about football and she recently brought  her passion for the game and her intention to contribute to the society together.

The 16-year-old who represents her school in sports has joined hands with an NGO that works for the welfare of stray animals.

The funds raised from the match will be contributed to the NGO. And in this noble cause, Ira has managed to bring in celebs like Imran Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and her father Aamir Khan.

Aamir's name came in as a surprise as he doesn't play football but his daughter Ira somehow managed to get him onboard.

She has not only managed to get these stars onboard, but she has also managed to make agreement with her star family for people participating.

"Those participating can get a chance to go for a ride in Imran Bhai's (Imran Khan) Ferrari or work out in his gym or you can spend a day with my dad on the sets of 'P.K'," said Ira who has meticulously planned the whole event.

When asked if the event is football centric due to the recently concluded Football world cup and she exclaims that its not just the football fever, the sport is her passion.

Though she is not sure how far she can go with it, she just wants to play as long as she can.

"I don't know whether I'll be good enough to play professionally but I intend to keep playing," she added.
