Last time around during elections, Bollywood star Aamir Khan was in the news for all the right reasons as he was campaigning to make people cast their vote and make their voice heard.

The actor during that time, worked extensively in spreading the awareness and influencing people to step out of their homes and vote to make this democracy work.

But this time he neither will be there to motivate people during election day nor will be available to cast his vote for his state.

Aamir will not be in the country during the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Elections due to some prior commitments. As the commitment with the international event organiser were made months before, Aamir couldn't change it as last minute as the dates of elections in Mumbai and his performance abroad clashed.

As the bookings were done and organisers as well as his fans abroad had done all the booking and a lot of money was already spent, he didn't want others to suffer.

Hence despite of no intention of doing so, Aamir will be missing the upcoming elections.
