Recently Preeti Desai was added to the star cast of Ekta Kapoor’s production ‘Rock the Shaadi’ starring Abhay Deol and Genelia D’Souza. It was rumored that Preeti’s star boyfriend Abhay recommended his director-friend Navdeep Singh to sign Preeti for the special cameo in the film.

However, an angry Abhay Deol decided to come clean on allegations. Abhay stated that he never recommended Preeti to any of his director or producer friends. He stated that while he was going through the script of the film, Preeti too got her hands on the script and was glued to it until she finished reading it. Abhay further explained that Preeti found the script really interesting and approached Navdeep on her own. He says that being in the same profession they do discuss films on personal level but he never believes in recommending anyone to anyone. He stated that as they have this mutual state of understanding often their choice comes to the same conclusion and he believes in inspiring her from whatever he has learnt through his career.
