Absence of any actress during PM's meet, upsets Dia Mirza

On his first day during his Maharashtra visit, PM Narendra Modi met Bollywood members including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar and discussed the issues faced by the film fraternity. Akshay who was heading the meeting shared the meeting hall image and captioned it, "This is wonderful! Is there a reason why there were no women in this room? @akshaykumar."

The entire hall had male members to discuss the issues, which really left actress Dia Mirza upset; raising her voice she mentioned why wasn't there any women included in the meeting? retweeting Akshay's post, she wrote, "This is wonderful! Is there a reason why there were no women in this room? @akshaykumar"

The meeting hall had producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Karan Johar, Rakesh Roshan, Ronnie Screwvala, Prasoon Joshi, the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the president of the Film Producers Guild were part of the exclusive meeting.

Many Twitter users got angry as well for the matter of fact that no women from the film fraternity were present in this crucial meeting. Narendra Modi shared the picture of the meeting as well and wrote "Had an extensive and fruitful interaction with a delegation from the film and entertainment industry. The delegation spoke about the strides being made by the film and entertainment industry, and gave valuable inputs relating to GST for their sector."
