(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Adam Levine has denied there is a rift between him and Christina Aguilera, insisting they are just like brother and sister.
The pair are both coaches on new American reality show The Voice, where they are each looking after a group of hopeful musicians. Although it has been reported Adam and Christina have fallen out, the Maroon 5 frontman claims they are just displaying some healthy rivalry in a bid to help their contestants.
"What are you trying to do?" Adam jokingly told US talk show host Jay Leno when asked about the tension between him and Christina. "She's fine: we bicker like brother and sister."
The rocker insists their disagreements are hyped up to make the situation appear worse than it really is. Adam is enjoying his experience of being involved with The Voice and he believes Christina is too.
"They fabricate a lot of that - a lot of that's reality television fodder," he added
Although Adam has been enjoying success in the music industry for some years now, he didn't always have such a prolific career. Before he made it as a singer, the 32-year-old hunk worked as a waiter at American franchise Johnny Rockets.
Adam admits he hated his time serving food and quickly realised he wasn't cut out to continue in the catering industry.
"I was a terrible waiter. I was trained and I didn't like it all, within two weeks I had all my shifts covered. My boss called me in and he said, We really like you but you haven't worked one shift since you have been here. I don't want to fire you but do you really want to work here?' So I left and I became a musician," he explained. "I got lucky." (C) Cover Media
