The talented British singer is currently promoting her second studio album, 21, after wowing critics with her 2008 debut, 19. Her first offering secured the star two Grammy Awards in 2009 firmly establishing her career path.

Adele confirms that while her life may have changed, she hopes to never emulate a certain Hollywood wild child. She has vowed not to become reliant on prescription medication and wants to remain grounded despite her success.

Im probably the worst flier. I dont take Valium or nothing like that cos Im scared ill end up being the next Lindsay Lohan popping sleeping pills. Plus I dont want to be out of it if the plane crashes. I want to be aware and call my mum, she told Q magazine.

Adele has revealed that her new album shows how she has matured in the past few years. The 22-year-old looks back on her younger years with wonderment and cant believe how confident she was despite her tender age.

Im really interested in lots of things. When I was younger I used to be in class and think I knew it all, she explained. Im really interested in art and literature and film and cooking and sociology and history and travelling, even though I hate flying, and stuff like that. (C) Cover Media
