January 31, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Adnan Sami is not the regular singer composer, he does things differently and loves to push his limits. After holding quite a few accolades and awards, this time he sought the live participation of his online fans while recording a song. The result is a new record has been formed as no other artist so far had the gumption of taking the inputs of the virtual live audience while recording a number.
Microblogging sites was used by the Sami to be in connection with the online fans and while he expected participation from 65,000 people, the two major online blogging sites conjured about 475,000 people. The 37-year old singer was overwhelmed by the response that he received from the online fans on January 21 recording that took place in the Yash Raj Studios.
The Pakistani origin singer wanted his fans to be part of a unique experience of him recording a sing dedicated to his father. With the active participation that Adnan got from the online listeners, he wants to turn this venture into a full-fledged album.
The Kabhi To Nazar Milao hit-maker stated that it was a unique experience for him too as the inputs helped him to better his song and was quite awed by the deep understanding that the fans have of a song. But there are few drawbacks recording like that as some online users have weird and names and some get really upset when their suggestions are not incorporated in the song. However, he is ready to look past those and continue with the experience.
