Khiladi Kumar is ending 2015 on a power packed note. The actor has official announced that he will be a part of south superstar Rajinikanth's next 'Robot 2'.

While in the original flick Rajinikanth played both the roles of a hero as well as of a villain, in the sequel Akki playing a negative role comes as a pleasant surprise.

Though Akki will shoot for the film later, he was present during the puja launch of the film in Chennai which took place recently. 

Apparently the film will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Legacy Effects, an animatronic company from USA has been signed for the film. Costume designer of 'Tron' and 'Watchman', Mary V Egot has designed special outfits for the film. Action scenes will be directed by 'Transformer' famed Kenny Bates and John Huges, who did VFX for 'Life Of Pi' are on board for Rajinikanth’s next big project.

The shooting of the film has already begun at EVP theme park in Chennai.
