Akshay talks tough

1st June 2011

Bollywood's original action hero, Akshay Kumar is getting back to some hard-hitting stuff. The Khiladi star, who for some time now was busy doing multi-starrer comedies, is getting back to action with some of his films like 'Desi Boyz', 'Rowdy Rathore' and the sequel of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai'.

Akshay Kumar recently faced the heat of some of his recent big budget flops films like 'Thank You', 'Action Replayy', and 'Tees Maar Khan'. Now after realizing that the overdose of multi-starrer comedies have saturated his career, he is going back to do action and feels that as an actor one should continuously come out from his comfort zone.

Akshay Kumar was evidently upset when 'Thank You' and 'Patiala House' bombed at the box-office, as he had expected a lot out of them. In order to repair the damage he has now signed a few potential films of directors with whom he hasn't worked in the past.

His next, with Sonakshi Sinha, is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's home production 'Rowdy Rathore' that will be directed by film 'Wanted' director Prabhu Deva and 'Desi Boyz' with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham too is an action film. While the two above mentioned films will also have a dose of comedy in it, the sequel to 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai' will have action, along with drama.
