(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Amanda Seyfried has told Justin Timberlake not to worry about his public perception, arguing there is nothing wrong with being an a**hole.

The pair have taken part in an interview together, during which Justin revealed his insecurities about being in the public eye. Despite being considered one of the worlds most talented men, the singer-and-actor confessed to feeling nervous about his showbiz persona, as he feels that by making the transition into movies he has had to keep reassuring people that [hes] not an a**hole" .

Actress Amanda reassured the hunk he has nothing to worry about, although admitted she also felt a similar pressure.

It's true. I understand your struggle, she told Justin in Interview magazine.

"But I think you're past that at this point. Besides, what's wrong with being an a**hole?

The pair discussed the pitfalls of working in such an expressive industry. Both stars have taken gambles during their career, and pushed boundaries with film choices, although Justin feels proud of his decisions as he considers himself to be an artist.

"You put your heart on your sleeve, and what will happen will happen. But it's like that for any artist. You do a painting, you take a photograph, it's the same. That's how artistry works," mused Justin.

Meanwhile, Amanda admitted she actually gets a kick out of thinking her movie choices could be panned. The talented star challenged her squeaky clean image by appearing as an escort who has a fling with a married woman played by Julianne Moore in 2009 thriller Chloe, and had no regrets about the risky move.

"I thought that doing Chloe was going to be a risk and I was wondering what people were going to think, but then I was like, 'You know what? The experience I'll have making this film is way too important to me.

"That can be fulfilling to the point where you just don't really care about how the work is going to be received. It's thrilling to just not care - unless, of course, you'd hurt somebody, Amanda added. (C) Cover Media
