Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are usually reserved about their relationship but they put on a public display of affection over the weekend.

The Amazing Spider-Man co-stars were seen locking lips as they walked through New York's Chelsea neighbourhood.

The Hollywood couple have been dating for nearly a year and have gone to great pains to keep their romance a secret but it appears they are now happy to show their love.

Andrew, 28, and Emma, 23, went shopping at Parke & Ronen before going for a bite to each at Tipsy Parson.

They stopped on a street corner and gave each other a tender kiss before continuing along their journey and walked along with their fingers interlocked

Emma told Teen Vogue last year that Andrew was "one of the most giving actors I've ever worked with."

"If I needed to get to a place of love or sadness in a scene, he'd leave messages on my phone to replay, or slip in lines off camera for a different reaction than what was scripted. He gave me so much to react to."
