Anne Hathaway is engaged to Adam Shulman.

The actress' representative has confirmed to People that Anne and her boyfriend of three years, actor and jewellery designer Adam, are planning to get married.

The 29-year-old was spotted wearing a ring in Brooklyn Park on Sunday.

"I am very much in love with him, [only] Adam totally ruined my plan," Anne previously said of their relationship. "I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!"

Her relationship with Adam followed her highly publicised break-up with Raffaello Follieri in 2008 after he pled guilty to 14 counts of money laundering, conspiracy and wire fraud.

At the time Anne was devastated and humiliated.

"I hate talking about the break-up because I don't want it to define me, but as is to be expected, there were a lot of lingering trust issues," she said last year.

However, the Devil Wears Prada actress couldn't be happier. While she was promoting her latest film, One Day, in the summer the star couldn't stop talking about the 30-year-old.

"I'm a romantic at heart," she told People. "He's the best!"
