January 25, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock has been inspiration of many new age filmmakers but it is first time, someone is going to make a film on the directors life and his career. Interestingly, the role of the legendary filmmaker might be played by Hollywood veteran star Anthony Hopkins.
The non-fiction movie will portray the work of the veteran in entertainment industry. Hopkins is well known for his contribution in the psycho-horror movies like The Silence of Lambs. And now, he will get into the character of original master of this genre.
The production company Montecito is in talks with the 73 year old actor to sign him for the film adaptation of the book Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, written by Stephen Rebello.
The book tells the tale of the filmmakers decision of making the horror movie, which has became world famous now. It also tells how he struggled to get finance and support for making the film.
John Laughlin of Black Swan fame has written the script of the film and Sacha Gervasi is likely to direct it. The film is likely to focus on Hitchcocks relationship with his wife, Alma Reville.
If the Academy Award winner actor plays the role the he will definitely do justice to this role and it will be a wonderful film.
