Jacqueline Fernandez has made a firm resolution to create awareness about the protection of dogs after the recent Annual Yulin Dog Meat Eating Festival in China sparked outrage and controversy all over the world.
Jacqueline has plans to get her celeb friends on board for this cause and she already has one supporter with her in this cause.
Anushka Sharma, also a dog lover, while supporting Jacqueline in this cause, spoke against the Yulin Festival of China on social media. She tweeted, "Nepal is having a festival where dogs are honoured for their special friendship with humans. China, watch and learn. A single-person led protest can be effective too. Animals don't have a voice, but you do."
Apparently, Anushka will be walking the city streets alongside Jacqueline who asserts her pet dog Bentley as her most favourite person.
"Since I love animals, I am glad that Nepal has taken a stand to honour dogs. I adore Bentley for his loyalty and friendship. And will extend my support to the initiative in Mumbai." Jacqueline said.
Jacqueline, further affirming on the cause, added, "Only a decade ago, dogs were regularly slaughtered on the streets of Beijing's suburbs. But that is history today. Let's make our own history back home."
