Rumour has it that Arjun Kapoor has been approached to play former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev in an upcoming film based on 1983 World Cup.

According to a source, "Arjun has been approached and he is contemplating. Vishnu Vardhan Induri, the founder and MD of CCL, who is planning the project, has already met the actor with the script. He has also approached actors for essaying the other characters but nothing has been finalised as of now. We will make an official announcement once everything is in place."

Arjun is yet to give a nod as he feels it's a big responsibility to portray the cricket legend on screen.
