He entered filmdom as an actor. After making a mark for himself, Arya floated a production company- 'The Show People' and vowed to introduce fresh talents. His first production venture 'Padithurai', directed by Suka, a former associate to Balumahendra, is ready for release. "The film was completed some months earlier but due to some unavoidable reasons, the release was delayed. All is well now,"say sources.

Says Arya, "Newcomer Abhishek is the hero of 'Padithurai'. Suka aka Suresh Kannan, the director, has done a great job. I am not even making a guest appearance in it."

The film, set in the backdrop of Tirunelveli, is a thoroughly enjoyable fare, we learn. Saying that Arya has plans to produce three movies a year, circles close to him add: "He wants to make quality movies, that too by giving opportunity to fresh talents".
