Drew Barrymore has apparently pledged to do all she can to make sure her baby has a stable childhood.

The newlywed is expecting her first child with husband Will Kopelman and will give birth later this summer.

Drew smoked, drank and took drugs at an early age.

The Hollywood actress wants to raise her little one in a more serene environment.

"Her wild childhood was filled with so much instability and pressure, and Drew doesn't want that for her kid," a friend told Life & Style magazine.

"She wants a calm, loving environment for her baby, and she doesn't want her child to go through what she went through.

"Drew and Will's child will be raised with stability and structure."

The 37-year-old apparently already has a strategy.

"She sees the benefits of having religion in her life after taking classes to convert to Judaism for Will and now wants to raise her child Jewish," the source added.
