(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Beyonc Knowles has splashed out 1.3 million on a car for her husband Jay-Z.

The R&B star reportedly bought the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport believed to be the fastest road car in the world for Jay-Zs 41st birthday on December 4. The hip-hop mogul already has a fleet of luxury cars and was thrilled with the latest addition to his collection, which can go up to 225mph.

Beyonc had to wait a year for the vehicle and managed to keep it a secret from her husband the whole time.

"Jay-Z has one of the most enviable collections of bling motors in the world - but even for him the Bugatti is special, a source told British newspaper The Sun. "Obviously the money isn't a factor for Beyonc, but Jay will be touched that out of everything she could have bought him, she chose something he'll treasure for years. He's in for the ride of his life."

Jay-Z is an ambassador for American company General Motors Corps and already owns a series of impressive cars, including a Ferrari F430 Spider and a Maybach 62S.

Beyonc and Jay-Z married in 2008 in New York. Last year, they were named as the top-earning celebrity couple in Hollywood with a joint fortune of 77 million. (C) Cover Media
