Beyonc Knowles planning kids at 40

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Beyonc Knowles thinks 40 is a "good" age to start a family.

The American songstress released her fourth studio album entitled 4 at the end of last month after taking a break from the industry.

The superstar has now revealed her plans to turn her back on her career for a little longer in a bid to start a family with her husband Jay-Z, 41.

The 29-year-old platinum-selling artist has previously sparked rumours of a planned pregnancy, after speaking of her desire to start her own brood with her rapper beau.

Beyonc says within the next 10 years, she hopes to have begun her family.

"Forty, that's a good one," she told Access Hollywood.

"Before I hit the age of 40, I'd love to have some children. I would love to direct, continue to learn videos and maybe by then a film, a short film I love documentaries. I just hope that I'm happy and into my children and well-adjusted and still making music, if that makes me happy at that time."

Beyonc is seen in a stunning wedding gown in her new video for Best Thing I Never Had, and the beauty says it was "creepy" to be re-enacting such a special moment with a stand-in actor. The songstress added the promo was so believable, people on set were cooing over the mock nuptials.

"It was a little strange. And definitely when I walked down the aisle I was like, This is kind of creepy - there's some other man standing there!" she quipped.

"It was really beautiful. People were all really excited like it was really my wedding. My mother was even like, Aww,' and I was like, Mom, it's a video. This is not my dress. This is not the real wedding.' But I think it's just one of those moments that every woman kind of fantasises and relives."

Beyonc has joked that despite only being a music promo, it was probably more chaotic than her actual wedding. The stunning star, who wed Jay-Z in an intimate ceremony in 2008, says the fact that she had to play up to camera for the whole duration made it slightly more difficult.

"This may have been a little more crazy, actually," she revealed. "I had to sing at the same time!" (C) Cover Media
