(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Beyonc Knowles mother has appeared on television to deny rumours her superstar daughter is pregnant.

It had been reported the 29-year-old singer was so happy after discovering she was expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z. It was claimed Beyonc was in her first trimester of pregnancy and had been rearranging her schedule to accommodate the new arrival.

But Tina Knowles has appeared on Ellen DeGeneres talk show to set the record straight about the stars family plans.

No, no. It's not true. Not right now, Tina told Ellen in the interview which is due to air in the US today.

Tina admits she and her family are growing frustrated by the constant speculation surrounding when Beyonc and Jay-Z who married in 2008 will have children. She insists she would love her daughter to start a family, but she doesnt want to put pressure on her because she has such a hectic work schedule.

I'm looking forward to it, Tina said when asked about Beyonc having a baby. [But] With all the rumours, by now I should have about five or six grandchildren.

Earlier in the interview, Tina joked it was actually her who was expecting another child, not Beyonc.

I'm here to clear the rumours up. The truth is that it's me, not Beyonc, that's pregnant. It's me, she laughed. I'm kidding, no, no I'm 56. (C) Cover Media
