Bruce Willis has been "worried sick" about his former wife Demi Moore, according to a source.

The 49-year-old actress was rushed to get medical help for "exhaustion" recently - with reports that she was going to seek help for anorexia and substance abuse issues.

Demi is now recovering at home after being hospitalised in January, and has been visited by former partner Bruce. He was spotted arriving at the star's Los Angeles home on Wednesday.

Sources close to Bruce claim that the actor became concerned about Demi after one of their daughters was reduced to tears while out shopping.

"After Bruce saw Tallulah's meltdown at Whole Foods on Monday, he knew he had to step in and take care of his daughter to help her deal with her mom's condition," a source told US website X17.

"He's been worried sick about Demi and wants to help her get back to normal."

Bruce and Demi have three daughters together; Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. The pair divorced in 2000.

Hours after Bruce's visit, Demi's estranged husband Ashton Kutcher arrived at her home. He reportedly stayed for around two hours before leaving in his blacked-out Lexus.

Demi has had a difficult few months stemming from the breakdown of her marriage to Ashton. The Two and a Half Men star reportedly cheated on her with Sara Leal on their six-year wedding anniversary.
