Busta Rhymes shocked by $9k phone bill'

13th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Busta Rhymes has reportedly notched up a $9,000 phone bill.

The American hip-hop star is said to be unhappy after receiving his latest payment break-down, which is for three months. He immediately went to his local AT&T store a US shop which sells phones and asked them to help him discover why the bill was so large.

Staff are understood to have spent several hours discussing the invoice, but it remains unknown whether they helped him reduce the charge.

"One shopper tells us a frantic customer-service rep was glued to the phone trying to sort out the humongous tab," reports New York Post. "The source said the Pass the Courvoisier star has been racking up the minutes rapping on the phone for the past three months."

Busta's representative hasn't commented on the report.

The rapper has been working on a new record lately, which is understood to be nearly finished. There are reports the album is called E.L.E. 2, and Busta has been talking about it recently.

He believes the LP will go down a storm with his fans when it's release, insisting it's one of the best he's ever worked on.

"There's times when you gotta go back in the kitchen and find new seasonings to make the meat taste a little better when you feed the full course meal back to the streets," he recently said. "It was time for me to put together another full course meal that ain't never been tasted the way this full course meal is gonna taste." (C) Cover Media
