Cameron Diaz: Fitness isn't about aesthetics

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Cameron Diaz says aesthetics aren't the reason she looks after her body.

The 38-year-old actress is famed for her stunning looks and enviably athletic frame. Despite wowing with her impressively lean figure, Cameron works out to benefit her body and not to look good.

"I take care of myself, I enjoy taking care of myself," she explained in an interview with British newspaper The Independent. "For me, the aesthetic is not the by-product of it. Physically I just am very in touch with my body."

Cameron says exercise allows her to feel "capable". The blonde beauty feels invigorated in her mind and body after working out.

"I really love feeling strong, feeling capable. I love that feeling in my body. And so when I'm not in that place, I don't feel good. It also helps keep my head clear, and it helps me stay focussed on my work and my life and so I just use it as a way of maintaining a certain standard of life," she said.

Cameron insists she takes care of her body for her own benefit. The stunning star is aware that her bulging biceps are not to everyone's taste.

"I'm sure there are people who look at my body and go, 'Ugh'. But I do it for myself," she added. (C) Cover Media
