(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Carey Mulligan has sparked rumours she is dating a new man following her split from Shia LaBeouf.

The British actress has been living in a Hollywood hotel following the end of her relationship with Shia, who she met on the set of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps last year. Although she has been seen looking glum in public recently, Carey appears to have returned to the dating scene.

The 25-year-old star attended the Hollywood Awards on Monday night, where she looked stunning but tired - in a knee-length red silk dress as she presented a prize. She spent the evening with a handsome young bearded man believed to be British actor Tom Sturridge.

The pair sat next to each other at the awards ceremony and spent the evening laughing and joking with other stars including Andrew Garfield and Minnie Driver.

Later that night Carey and Tom were spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont hotel in a car, and the 25-year-old beauty did her best to hide her identity as she covered her face with her hand. The pair clearly didnt want to be photographed as Tom was also bowing his head as they sat together in the back of the vehicle.

Carey and Tom first sparked romance rumours over the weekend when they were reportedly spotted together in Hollywood. The pair were seen leaving the Best Western Hotel - Carey has been staying there since she moved out of the 1.8 million New York apartment she shared with Shia.

Tom is already a regular fixture in the Hollywood celebrity scene - he is best friends with Robert Pattinson and recently finished shooting new drama On the Road with Kristen Stewart. (C) Cover Media
