Saif Ali Khan who was recently acquitted in the Blackbuck poaching case in Jodhpur Rajasthan but had his co-star Salman Khan guilty of the crime. Even after being freed from the case month after tension mount for Saif as his agent was caught for organising wild boar hunting for him in Bulgaria without seeking any permission from the government.
The actor's agent has now been booked by the Bulgarian police and they require Saif's statement on further investigation. A source from the Interpol stated, "We got some documents from the Interpol through the CBI, which is India's nodal agency for the Interpol. We have forwarded the documents to the actor. We have not recorded his statement." Saif is co-operating with the Crime Branch officials and his official statement is been recorded regarding the same.
"The actor is a witness in a hunting case probed by the Bulgarian police. After the communication from Interpol was received, the crime branch, Bandra unit, was asked to record the actor's statement. A team of the Mumbai Crime Branch sleuths from the unit visited the actor’s suburban residence and recorded his statement," said a Crime Branch source.
As per the reports, the Bulgarian police had booked Saif's agent who allegedly organised a wild boar hunting tour for Saif without permission and licences. Bulgaria is a top destination for game hunting, but as per guidelines a foreigner must produce a hunting licence from his own country or appear for a test in Bulgaria to get a licence there. However, In India Hunting is banned under the Wildlife Protection Act so no way the licence could have produced here.
