Chace Crawford says Elizabeth Hurley is the "epitome of the ideal woman".

The British beauty stars as the hunk's newest love interest in hit TV series Gossip Girl. Chace says 46-year-old Elizabeth is one of the most beautiful and charming women he's ever met.

"It's been awful, they really had to twist my arm," he laughed in an interview with a UK TV show about the storyline involving the beauty. "She's still gorgeous as ever, she keeps it light and she's funny.

"She's the epitome of the ideal woman. She's got the British voice. I love the voice. I'm trying not to crack a smile [during filming] because she's so charming."

The 26-year-old star who plays Nate Archibald on the CW drama series loves visiting Britain. Chace originally hails from Texas, so finds the English way of life refreshing.

"I love the Brits, half my friends are British. I'm in London three times a year. I'm not hiding in Simon Cowell's closets or anything," he laughed in reference to the music mogul's recent security scare which saw a woman break into his London property armed with a brick.

Chace is starring in upcoming comedy drama What to Expect When You're Expecting, which stars an impressive ensemble cast including Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Cameron Diaz, Chris Rock and Anna Kendrick.

The film follows five couples who are preparing to welcome a baby into the world. Chace says working with the star-studded cast was a great experience.

"It was great, it was a lot of fun. It was a blast," he gushed. "It's good. It's interesting. Having a dinner with Chris Rock and having some laughs, it's a lot of fun."
