Charlie Sheen says Brooke Mueller is "doing good" in rehab.

The actor's ex-wife checked into a long-term rehab facility yesterday with a goal to "maintain her sobriety".

Brooke was arrested in Aspen, Colorado, on December 2 and charged with felony drug possession and misdemeanour assault.

She initially refused help, but later changed her mind and entered a rehab facility to help her overcome her dependencies. Charlie who had a tumultuous relationship with the star says he isn't planning on visiting his former beau, but maintains she is doing well.

"No, I'm going to let her take her time right now. She's doing good though," he told x17 Online.

It was recently revealed that Brooke's court hearing for felony possession of cocaine has been rescheduled for January. Her arraignment relating to the case had been scheduled for next week but has now been postponed until after the New Year.

"Defendant's motion to continue her appearance on December 19th, was granted. Per the Order from Judge Nichols, she is to appear next on January 23, 2012 at 10.30 am. Defendant was ordered to be personally present at that time," Chief Deputy District Attorney Arnold Mordkin told RadarOnline.

Charlie and Brooke have two-year-old twin boys Bob and Max together.
