(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Chelsea Handler found her last romantic relationship to be absolutely "exhausting".

The American comedienne and Chelsea Lately presenter ended her relationship with hotelier Andre Balazs in November 2011 after dating for nine months.

The couple lived on opposite coasts and Chelsea found spending time with her beau to be a grueling experience.

"It was extremely time-consuming and it was really, really hard for me to focus on anything at all," Chelsea revealed on Marc Maron's WTF podcast. "He lived in New York and I lived in L.A., and it was a constant back and forth, flying and meeting each other it was just exhausting. But I prefer a long distance relationship because I don't really want to deal with someone on a daily basis."

Chelsea believes that the thousands of miles between them created substantial conflict.

"It would be nice to have a long distance relationship with someone in San Francisco, where it was an hour away," she said.

Chelsea felt consumed by love and found it difficult to concentrate.

"[Our affair] kind of took the wind out of me. . . it drained me from my career, it drained me from my work," she explained. "I wasn't focused on anything. It was just stress." (C) Cover Media
