Now that he has completed the shooting for 'Muran', actor-director Cheran will be doing a city-based subject that has been aptly titled 'City'. It will feature him in a modern role, sources in the know say.

Cheran plays one of the lead protagonists, the other being Kishore. It is directed by Nagulan Ponnusamy, who earlier did Srikanth's thriller, 'Varnajalam'.

Cheran is also reportedly acting in director Vasanth's film. The shooting for 'City' would go on the floors early next month. Sources say that it will be completed in one go. 'Muran' stars Cheran and Prasanna and is being marketed by UTV Films. A road thriller, 'Muran' is getting ready to hit the screens by the first week of September.
