Chiranjeevi visits the train accident spot

On Monday, megastar and Congress Leader Chiranjeevi, rushed to Nellore to take a look at the charred compartment of the Tamil Nadu Express which caught fire in the wee hours of the day.

Speaking to reporters, he blamed the railways for their poor safety facilities and negligence that caused this incident.

Chiru visited the Nellore railway station and inspected the compartment, which was destroyed by the fire, killing 35 people.

He stated that the railways were not paying enough attention to the safety of the passengers. He stressed on the need to speed up the modernisation and equipments of the place.

He added further, "Indian railways is the largest organization in the world but we still follow the old safety and security systems introduced during the British time."
