Dusky beauty Chitrangada Singh is scorching the screens with her hotness in her first dance number ‘Kaafiraana,’ in the film ‘Joker,’ where she makes the special appearance just for the dance number. There has been a huge hullabaloo around the same song as it has been under the spotlight for being Chitrangada’s first item number. But the actress cringes at the very tag of it being called as an ‘item’ number. 

“Its just a song at the end of the day and I don't understand what is the big deal about an item number. We had songs in 'Mughal-e-Azam' and they were never termed as item songs. You just remember the song and the dance, and it's beautiful,” said Chitrangada who further added that tags irritate her to the core.

“I get irritated by the term ‘item number’ but I understand that it is the way people understand that you are not a part of the film but just doing a song. I think it's just about tagging the actor. It's good to keep changing tags as an actor, I have been tagged before and now I have got another one,” said Chitrangada about being tagged as an 'item' girl. 

While she was tagged as a parallel cinema actress when she did dark films and now that she has ventured into the commercial zone, she is not surprised with these fancy titles as well.
