(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Chris Brown has insisted that he has not been banned from the UK.
The 22-year-old singer has faced widespread allegations that he was not allowed into the country to perform at this weekend's Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales.
But a rep for the performer says the claims are totally false although Chris was invited to perform in Cardiff.
"His previously booked domestic F.A.M.E. tour concert dates didn't allow him to accept the honour and therefore he never planned to go to the U.K.," his spokesperson told TMZ. "He was not banned."
The representative also said that Chris was in Tampa, Charlotte and Virginia Beach for performances that had been scheduled before he was asked to be on stage for the King of Pop's event.
Chris reached a plea deal back in 2009 following the assault on his then girlfriend, Rihanna. He was sentenced to community labour and five years' probation.
Other celebrities have been banned from countries because of their prior conduct.
Comedian Russell Brand was stopped from entering Japan back in May when he went to visit his wife Katy Perry because of his criminal record and was more recently not allowed into Canada.
Paris Hilton was also refused entry to Japan in September last year because of her cocaine conviction. (C) Cover Media
