(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Chris Brown will celebrate his 22nd birthday with a party in Las Vegas.

The R&B singer is currently in Australia as part of his F.A.M.E Tour, which is promoting his new album of the same name. He is performing the final date in Perth today, after which he will jet home to the US ahead of his birthday bash.

He turns 22 on May 5 and has decided to throw a party in Las Vegas this weekend to mark the occasion.

Brown is scheduled to party mainly with close family and friends, a source close to the singer tells us, reports RadarOnline.

The event will take place at PURE Nightclub, which is at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Further details of the event havent been released, but it is thought Chris is keen to keep a low-profile while in America.

Earlier this year he allegedly lost his temper and smashed a window after being interviewed by Good Morning Americas Robyn Roberts, because he was upset by the line of questioning. Robyn repeatedly asked the young star whether his 2009 conviction for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna was still causing him problems and Chris was said to be angered that the incident is still being raised. He wanted to focus on his album release, and is said to be keen to put the conviction in the past. (C) Cover Media
