Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky are "delighted and excited" about becoming first time parents.

The Thor star and the Spanish actress will welcome their bundle of joy this spring, his rep has confirmed.

Chris and Elsa tied the knot in Australia in December 2010 and she told Hola! about their excitement at adding to their family.

"Having the person that you love by your side and starting a family with them is the best thing that can happen to you in this life," Elsa told the publication. "You can't ask for more."

Elsa, who recently starred in Fast Five, shared that she and the Aussie hunk do not want to stop at just one baby and are looking forward to having a large brood.

"I want to have a big family, and so does Chris," she revealed. "My dream is to have more than one child."

Elsa had previously dated Adrien Brody and Olivier Martinez while the baby will be niece or nephew to Chris' brother Liam Hemsworth who is dating Miley Cyrus.
