Christina Aguilera parties in Wales

10th October 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Christina Aguilera and her entourage reportedly ran up a 5,000 bar bill this weekend.

The American signer performed at the Michael Jackson Forever concert in Cardiff, Wales, on Saturday night. It was held as a tribute to the late star, who died in 2009.

Christina stayed at St. David's Hotel, where she and her group were determined to have a good time.

According to British newspaper The Sun, the star and her entourage partied their way through 5,000 worth of alcohol. They also ate at the establishment's restaurant, with the singer's bodyguards requesting an area of the room was set aside for the group.

The specifics of what the revellers were drinking or how many people were with Christina aren't known.

News of her colossal bill comes after it was reported the star spent 6,000 reserving train seats for her and her 22-strong entourage to travel from England to Wales.

The group were welcomed aboard the train at London's Paddington Station by crew members and some British Transport Police officers.

Christina reportedly requested several items be made available for her journey, among them chilled champagne, Belvedere vodka, Pinot Grigio, Fuji apples, a pot of honey, unsalted almonds and mineral water flown in from the South Pacific.

"Christina just sat back and enjoyed the views," a source told British newspaper The Daily Mail. "She had been told the countryside is beautiful and she just wanted to see it.

"Her management hired half the carriage through a company called Train Chartering because she didn't like the idea of a fleet of Bentleys sitting on the M4 for hours on end."

Before the journey started Christina and her staff were allowed to wait in a special lounge at the train station which is normally reserved for the royal family. She asked for it to be decorated with white roses and candles, and for champagne to be available.

The star wasn't allowed candles as they posed a fire risk, but her other requirements were met. (C) Cover Media
