Cline Dion denies scheduling caesarean

14th October 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cline Dions husband has hit out at claims she has scheduled a delivery date for the couples twin sons.

The Canadian singer and her husband Ren Anglil already have nine-year-old son Ren-Charles together, and Cline is currently pregnant with the twins. The couple suffered many setbacks while trying to have another baby, with the new arrivals conceived during their sixth in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) attempt.

It was recently reported the 42-year-old singer had elected to give birth via caesarean section, with the operation set to take place on October 22. It was also alleged she had made a series of outlandish demands to a hospital in Florida, but Ren has rubbished the claims.

There is nothing scheduled. We do not have a date, he told People magazine.

Clines representative has also dismissed the reports, insisting there is no factual element to them at all. The spokesperson says the health and wellbeing of the babies is all the singer is interested in, so she has done everything within her power to ensure the pregnancy has been as trouble-free as possible.

They want Celine's pregnancy to go as long as possible, at least until the first week of November. She would never intentionally endanger her unborn children by scheduling a birth early like this, the representative said. It's all false. Celine and her doctors hope to get her to at least 37 weeks gestation to ensure the healthiest outcome for her children. (C) Cover Media
