Colin Farrell: I need happiness

30th July 2012

Colin Farrell's dream life would have "a certain level of happiness" and "more stillness".

The actor's ideal existence is the direct opposite of the high drama and all-action one he lives in his latest movie Total Recall. Colin is quick to point out that while he would like to have a more serene life, he is more than happy with the one he's currently got.

"If I could write a completely different life, it would probably be a life where I experience a certain level of happiness and a lot more stillness than I have in my life now," Colin told ET Online. "I'm not complaining about the movement that I have right now, 'cause it's wonderful."

In the remake of the 1980s classic film, Colin puts on a violent and energetic performance but in reality he is a man who enjoys meditation and yoga. The best thing about Colin's current life is that he gets to see the rest of the world. He thinks he would be doing something that similarly lets him broaden his horizons if he wasn't an actor.

"I love to travel - I get to travel a lot - but I'd probably go in a completely different direction and maybe find myself somewhere rural and beautiful," Colin said.
