(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Courteney Cox Arquette says her estranged husband David Arquettes sex drive is taking its toll on their relationship.
The pair announced they had separated last year, but have remained on good terms for the sake of their daughter, Coco. While Courteney has supported David during his spell in rehab and offered her friendship, he has been looking for more from their relationship.
It was recently revealed David tried to initiate sex with the actress while they were at Disney World, and Courteney has admitted this frustrated her greatly.
"That was like the worst I can't even tell you. I had just woken up, he'd been up you know he doesn't sleep," she said yesterday in a joint interview with David on Howard Sterns Sirius radio show. "The truth of the matter is that we love each other so much. We have such affection for each other, but we are very different. I'm a homebody. I like to have people over, but I'm a little socially not I don't love it. David he doesn't drink anymore, he's completely sober but he likes to go out and dance. He really is a very gregarious guy. He's very outgoing. I'm much more of an introvert."
Even though Courteney expressed her annoyance with David for hitting on her, the 39-year-old insists he knows what is right for their relationship. He wants their marriage to work and believes he has her best interests at heart.
"I know I'm more in touch with what she needs now, he explained. She takes one sort of thing or a couple times and she clumps it and that's what happens all the time in our relationship. It's not really true."
Howard also quizzed Courteney on her rumoured romance with one of her Cougar Town co-stars. The 46-year-old beauty claims she hasnt slept with anyone since her split from David and when asked if a co-star may have more than platonic feelings for her, Courteney insisted she had no idea.
I have not had sex, she said, before addressing claims a co-star could have expressed romantic feelings. "If they do, they're not letting me know. I mean I think they like David too much and it's too weird of a situation." (C) Cover Media
