The American rocker was famed for her grungey look in the 90s, but is now keen on a cleaner aesthetic. She loves accessories made of precious stones, but says there are certain items she would never treat herself to as it would feel wrong.

The piece of jewellery Im longing for is an Asscher-cut diamond not too big and it cannot be flawless. I like dirty diamonds, she said. Ill buy myself rubies and sapphires but I refuse to buy myself diamonds. Theres nothing on the planet as powerful, sexy and wonderful as getting diamonds from a man.

Courtney has launched website whatcourtneyworetoday.com, which features pictures of her in outfits which bloggers on the site write about. It means she is now more conscious about what she wears, which she thinks can only be a good thing.

My attitude to getting dresses has changed with the launch of my blog, she told the December issue of UK magazine Elle. I like the idea of being kept in check. Its like having a little Henry Higgings that makes me do my nails and my roots. It makes me more conservative. (C) Cover Media
