Courtney Love is asset' to rich men

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Courtney Love is looking for a rich boyfriend, because she'd be an "asset" to anyone who is wealthy.

The American rocker has had many high-profile relationships over the year. She was married to late Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain and has been in relationships with Billy Corgan and Edward Norton. The 46-year-old has been linked to rich British art dealer Henry Allsopp, but it's unknown whether they are still an item. He is definitely her type though, as she's admitted she would prefer to date men with money nowadays.

"Actually, these days I'm only interested in plutocrats. Like really, really rich guys. I'm determined to land one sooner or later. My favourite book these days is something called The Filthy Rich Handbook, which I study like the Talmud," she told thefix.com. "The thing is, I think I can be a real asset to a wealthy man. I've always been a great girlfriend, but until recently I've struggled to stay single, because I had never been without a boyfriend before. It's just my nature to couple up."

Courtney spends much of the interview discussing her battle with substance abuse. She has been addicted to heroin and crack cocaine in the past, and has also had problems with prescription medications.

At the moment she's clean, but she's had such problems in the past she has difficulty convincing people she has really changed.

"I did really well with the boys for a while. But then I developed this reputation as a crazy drug addict and a lot of men were turned off by me. Even now, in New York, my reputation is still pretty sh**ty," she admitted. "People still think that I'm the same sad skank I was in 2005.

"I've been maligned as this drug freak for years, and I'm getting tired of it. That's not the way I live anymore I've worked really hard to get myself together, but for some reason I've remained a punch-line. You know, I try to work a good program. I don't do smack. I don't do crack anymore."

Courtney claims she first started taking Valium and Ritalin when she was eight, as her mother gave it to her. She is determined to improve her life now, and has even stopped taking Adderall. The medication treats attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and she was on it for the last two years, before she had a wake-up call.

"After Britney [Spears] freaked out a couple of years ago, and her toxicology report said she was taking a much lower dose than I was, I decided to get off that sh*t. I knew I had to work a serious program again," she explained. (C) Cover Media
