Courtney Love's daughter calls for Twitter ban

13th April 2012

Courtney Love's daughter has called for her to be banned from Twitter.

Earlier this week, Courtney took to the social networking website to claim that Dave Grohl who was in Nirvana with Courtney's late husband Kurt Cobain had made sexual advances towards her daughter Frances Bean.

Courtney and Frances are estranged, after the teenager took out a restraining order against her mom in 2009. The 19-year-old rarely talks about her mother in public but has released a statement following Courtney's comments.

"While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn," she said. "I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother."

Courtney tweets using a locked account which isn't under her name, but her remarks quickly went viral this week.

"I hear from Frannie's roommate that @davegrohl hit on frances," she wrote. "I'm not mad at her, him i am about to shoot dead (sic)."

Dave was quick to issue a statement about the allegations. He is happily married with two children and completely denies the accusation.

"Unfortunately, Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant," he said. "These new accusations are upsetting, offensive, and absolutely untrue."

Courtney is renowned for speaking her mind on Twitter. She had to pay $400,000 after making defamatory statements about a fashion designer and has also been slammed by Smashing Pumpkins star Billy Corgan on the social networking site.

Her relationship with Frances Bean is also difficult. Earlier this year, sealed documents were unearthed in which Frances Bean accused Courtney of being responsible for the death of family pets.

She alleged that her cat died when it got tangled up in fabric, trash and paperwork in the home while her pet pooch was killed after swallowing the troubled singer's pills.
