(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Daniel Radcliffe has a rigor mortis look of concentration when he tries to dance.
The actor is most famous for playing teenage wizard Harry Potter in the hugely successful film franchise. The final movie is set to be released this summer and Daniel is currently appearing in a Broadway musical production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The role requires the 21-year-old to singer and dance and he admits he finds it difficult to relax when he is showing off his moves.
[The prospect of dancing] scared me. A lot. Because I have absolutely no aptitude for it, he explained to USA Today. "It was a matter of putting in the time so I could develop the confidence. My dance teacher keeps telling me, 'If you're smiling, your feet could be doing pretty much anything and no one will care.' But if you have that rigor mortis look of concentration, it doesn't work."
Daniel is thrilled to be living in New York while he appears in the theatre show. He is staying in the West Village and enjoys being able to walk around without being hounded by overzealous Harry Potter fans.
"I love it, because it's possible to be kind of anonymous, he added. I'm 5ft 5ins, and I'll wear a big parka and put the hood up, and nobody gives me a second glance."
Daniel also spoke about shooting the final scenes for Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The star was devastated to leave behind the cast and crew, having worked with many of them for a decade. However, he feels the time is right to take on new career challenges.
"It was very sad, on the final day of filming, but it had to end, he said. To have me doing it at 30 would be awful. I think we can look back at the last ten years with pride not just in the films, but at what they achieved for the British film industry." (C) Cover Media
